You would be hard-pressed to find a more dog-friendly holiday location than the Isle of Wight.

Many accommodation providers across the Island welcome dogs all year round. You’ll also find many local pubs (and their locals) welcome dogs so much that they have treats on the bar ready, and some even have a dedicated doggie menu.

Well-behaved pooches on leads are welcome at some of the Isle of Wight’s attractions. These include the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, The Needles Landmark Attraction, and Robin Hill.

From October through to the end of March, most of the Isle of Wight beaches are dog-friendly. A few stay dog-friendly all year round, including Brook Beach, which runs parallel with the Military Road. Check out our beach guide for where and when you’re allowed to take your four-legged pal.

So there’s no need to leave your pooch at home, they’ll feel like they’ve had a relaxing, pampered holiday as much as you.
