Free things to do

Holidays can be expensive, and with everyone feeling the pinch at the moment, finding free things to do on the Isle of Wight is always welcome.

Whether you’re on holiday here and looking to have at least one day off spending, or you’re a parent living right here on the Island, everyone needs some inspiration.

During the summer, you can spend a day at the beach, but what if it’s not swimsuit weather? There are a variety of outdoor play parks with amazing equipment. These include the park by Sandham Gardens in Sandown. Attractions including The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and Quarr Abbey are completely free to enter, and they both have picnic spots too. Get back to nature and explore one of the many forests, wooded areas and nature reserves too.
