Niton Lanterns is a much-loved annual lantern parade that lights up the village of Niton each December.

Throughout November, free family-friendly Lantern Making Workshops are held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 15:15 to 19:00 at Niton Methodist Church (a £4 donation per lantern is suggested to cover materials).

The Lantern Parade takes place on Sunday, 7 December, starting from Niton Methodist Church at 18:00 and finishing at the beautifully illuminated St John the Baptist Church. The evening includes a short family service, and local venues, The Post Office and The White Lion, stay open late for refreshments.

This not-for-profit, community-run event is a highlight of the festive season on the Isle of Wight.
