Gurnard beach is one of, if not, the best beach to catch the setting sun.
The esplanade is lined with quintessential beach huts harking back to seaside memories of your childhood. The beach though is predominantly pebbles so don’t expect golden soft sands.
There is a café, The Watersedge, and a pub, The Woodvale, within walking distance and public toilets are easily accessible from here.
Gurnard is a small, pretty village and is a particularly good location to watch liners and large ships entering Southampton Water. There is also a popular sailing club which regularly meets and races.
