Ticket to Ryde celebrates its 12th year with two days of live music, local food and the International Scooter Rally.
Island residents and visitors alike are invited to Eastern Gardens on Ryde’s seafront this weekend as the much-loved Ticket to Ryde returns for the August Bank Holiday – and this year promises to be one of the best yet.
Now in its 12th year, Ticket to Ryde has established itself as a firm favourite in the Isle of Wight’s events calendar. Organised by Jack Up Events in partnership with Ryde Town Council, the event is entirely free to attend and staged for the community, providing a vibrant platform to showcase the very best of the Island’s musical talent alongside a celebration of local food, drink and independent traders.
A Special Edition for Scooter Fans
This year’s August event once again coincides with the annual International Scooter Rally, making it a particularly special weekend on the Esplanade. Held during the rally, the final edition of Ticket to Ryde for 2026 features a massive 60s playlist guaranteed to delight scooter enthusiasts, alongside a stellar line-up of Island bands, DJs and solo performers. BBC Radio Solent will also be broadcasting live from the event between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 29th August.

Scooted & Booted Sound System – Reggae, Ska and 2 Tone specialists – perform across both days, and either side of the scooter ride out, perfectly capturing the spirit of the weekend.
On-stage proceedings begin at 11am each day, running through until 7pm. Trade stalls open from 10am.
Supporting Local Traders & Island Charities
True to its community roots, Ticket to Ryde showcases exclusively local traders. Food and drink on offer includes real ales from Island Ales, Rollin’ Pizzas, the IOW Flippy Chippy, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, crepes, cakes and bakes, candy floss, and coffees from Jasper’s Coffee and Crumb Pact – all prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
Market stalls will offer a range of unique gifts and experiences, including henna tattoos, anime novelty items, mandalas and malas, laser art and more, with children’s activities to keep the whole family entertained.
This year, Ticket to Ryde is proud to be supporting the Alzheimer Café Isle of Wight, whose volunteers will be on hand across the weekend to raise awareness of the vital support they provide for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia on the Island, together with their families and carers.
Parklands Dementia Resource Centre in Cowes provides a place where information can be found and shared, a space for living and laughing, and somewhere everyone will feel safe and find respite for a while, 5 days a week.
Both Parklands Community Café and all Alzheimer Cafés offer a friendly and welcoming environment where people can chat, share stories, make friends, and relax knowing everyone there is ‘in the same boat’.
Please note: only alcohol purchased from the licensed bar may be consumed within the licensed event area. Attendees are kindly asked to leave the seafront location quietly out of respect for local residents.
