Additionally, there are Southern Vectis regular service buses that will take you to Newport, where you can either walk to the Festival or catch a shuttle to the Festival campsites.
If you are camping, ensure you arrive early to secure the best spot (preferably away from the toilets). The campsite officially opens on Thursday of the festival weekend.

What to expect at the Isle of Wight Festival 2025
If you haven’t been to a festival, get ready for a relaxed and enjoyable time among people of all ages. This year’s theme is ‘Neon Jungle’, so expect some bright, wild, and fun outfits. A fancy dress competition will take place at Cirque de la Quirk on Saturday at 3pm. The selected winners will receive an exclusive Backstage Champagne Picnic!
As always, there are multiple stages throughout the site, but the main stage and Big Top are where you can see performances from artists like Sting, Stereophonics, Clean Bandit, Example, Supergrass, and the Sunday headliner, Justin Timberlake, who will close the Main Stage for the weekend, along with many others.
To make sure you don’t miss any of your favourite acts or even some emerging artists, keep the line-up list handy, or download the Isle of Wight Festival App.
There are plenty of stages and activities happening around the site that cater to all music genres, so consider stepping out of your comfort zone and exploring the different tents during your visit.
Child-friendly areas are also scattered throughout the site for when they need a bit of entertainment, along with fair rides to help tire them out.

Survival Kit and Safety Tips
As a rule, your festival survival kit should include all the essentials, including;
- Sun cream
- Hat, scarf, parasol – whatever you prefer
- Antibacterial hand sanitiser gel
- Tissues (just in case…for toilet trips)
- Emergency makeup items, including makeup remover (for that stubborn glitter)
- Water – keep hydrated (fingers crossed for sunny weather), bring a refillable bottle as there are stations to fill up throughout the site
- Bank card/phone – The site (as of last year) was largely cashless, while some vendors did accept cash, be prepared to ‘tap’.
Food is never far from the minds of many, and at the Isle of Wight Festival 2025, you’ll find food stalls featuring recipes from various cultures around the world alongside the classics. Special dietary requirements are also accommodated, so don’t hesitate to inquire. The drinks tents are spacious and easy to find, but be prepared for long lines, so make sure to stock up!

Points to remember
- You are not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the site. Bags are regularly checked at the entrance gates, and any items found are confiscated.
- Always keep track of your friends and family members, especially children.
- Stay hydrated and cover up if the sun is shining, which hopefully it will.
- There are medical facilities and welfare tents in the campsite and arena, should you need them.
- Try to locate a recognisable meeting point should members of your group become separated.

In and around Newport
If you’re looking for a brief escape from the festival, consider taking a walk along the main road leading to Newport’s town centre, where local residents provide their own take on food and drink stalls. You’ll find numerous local cafes, restaurants and pubs available if you wish to savour the leisurely pace of Island life.
Looking for a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day? The Bargeman’s Rest, located right by the river, is an excellent choice. This proper pub also offers traditional pub food and an excellent variety of beers, including some local brews.
As you explore the town, stop by The Wheatsheaf, located in the town centre, where you can find ample outdoor seating in the town square. Alternatively, you might want to visit The George Inn at the top of South Street (next to McDonald’s), which features a spacious beer garden at the back of the pub.
If you’re craving a caffeine boost the morning after, make your way to Caffé Isola on St James Street for some fantastic, freshly brewed Island Roasted coffee. Their doorstep sandwiches serve as an excellent remedy for hangovers. Comicoffee stands out as one of our cooler, more quirky cafes. Embracing a superhero theme, you can enjoy a bubble waffle with your morning coffee.
Takeaways are also close to hand for those who can’t resist! Additionally, take this chance to stock up on supplies for your campsite.
We hope you have a great time at the Isle of Wight Festival 2025 and remember to stay safe!
