As we move towards the warmer months and more people flock to beaches, the rules around dog-friendly beaches and taking our four-legged pals with us change from 1st May.

But don’t worry, there are still many dog-friendly beaches on the Isle of Wight all year round, including Brook Beach, Freshwater and Colwell Bay.

Our doggie pals love a paddle in the sea and stretch out on the sand as much as we do, but just remember to leave our beautiful beaches as you found them. Leave nothing behind but footprints and ensure you clear up after yourselves and your pooch. Keep an eye on signage around beach fronts for dog-friendly beach instructions as if you break the rules you could find yourself with a £100 fine (ouch!)
