The Isle of Wight will be transformed to the Isle of Fright this October half term with many great attractions across the diamond isle putting on a host of child-friendly and more adult scary events.

Isle of Wight Steam Railway

It’s wicked, wonderful fun this half term at Isle of Wight Steam Railway (25 – 29 October).

It wouldn’t be Halloween without a little magic, there’s a real-life magician conjuring up a few tricks. Be a spooky witches apprentice and help with some magic spells before watching the skies as the birds of prey from Haven Falconry swoop and dive. What’s more Halloween-y than an owl… owl-oween. Take the terrifying treasure hunt trail before boarding the steam train where a crafty witch will be dealing out treats (maybe a few tricks).

For grown up ghouls…

Dare you ride the train of fright? This Halloween for two days (30 – 31 October) All Hallows Eve make your way to Havenstreet for a spooky evening under the cover of darkness.

Dress up in your best cunning costume, whether it’s a witch, wizard, zombie or Dracula and lurk along the platform before boarding the ghost train. As the steam train tracks through the pitch dark woodland look out across the desolate countryside, is there anything out there watching you?

Back at Havenstreet Haven Falconry will be flying their birds under the moonlight, keep your eye on the sky!

Take the tricky trail to Train Story where more ghastly goings-on and things that go bump in the night wait in the shadows.
