Home » Wroxall
Wroxall is a small village just outside Ventnor. Set amongst rolling countryside, it has many wonderful walks around the area.
The village has a primary school and a local shop as well as a church. It is a popular village for retirement due to its quiet location.
The village has a pub, Smokin' Jack's (formerly The Star Inn), which, under current management, has an American dining-themed experience. Just outside of the village is the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, which is a local charity that rehomes mistreated or retired donkeys.
You can also visit the remains of the large manor house, Appuldurcombe, while you are here. Once home to the Worsley family, the property boasts a rich history and is no stranger to a few ghost stories.
Southern Vectis bus route 3 serves Wroxall on its way between Newport and Ryde, via Ventnor.
