Re:Box is the smallest art gallery on the Isle of Wight, located in a classic Kiosk No.6 red phone box in Ryde.
Through BT’s ‘Adopt a Kiosk’ program, Ryde Town Council bought the box for just £1 and handed it over to ‘Ryde Exhibitionists’ – a duo of local creatives eager to breathe new life into this retired piece of street furniture.
Since August 2022, writer Anmarie Bowler and photographer Zoe Barker have collaborated with Isle of Wight artists and community groups to put together a series of ever-evolving and surprising installations.
When night falls, Re:Box lights up from within, transforming into a lightbox that gives off the enchanting effect of glowing stained glass.
