Bembridge Heritage started back in 1996 when a group of locals wanted to preserve their history for future generations.
Volunteers work with the community to showcase Bembridge’s history. They collect, record and present the village’s rich heritage at the Bembridge Heritage Visitor Centre.
They organise monthly meetings featuring speakers, films, and archive events, plus they host an annual exhibition at Bembridge Village Hall. They also bring topics from the archive to care homes and community groups.
The Bembridge Heritage Visitor Centre is free to visit, providing access to its archives and databases. It’s open every Friday and Saturday from 10:30 to 13:00.
