The Isle of Wight Steam Railway and the RSPCA have joined forces to host the Great Isle of Wight Dog Walk. The morning walk will involve a ride on a vintage steam train to the start of a dog-friendly 3 km walking route.
Your vintage carriage, dating from the Victorian or Edwardian era, awaits, hauled by a magnificent steam locomotive. The afternoon hike will be a circular 5 miler from Havenstreet, with the route heading through the extensive station site and out along gravel tracks to Great Briddlesford Farm.
Treat your pet to a commemorative tag and enjoy some dog-related fun and games, including a Family Dog Show organised by the Friends of the Animals.
Because of the nature of the event, dogs will need to be well-behaved and be kept on a lead at all times.
