Beaches in the North East

Bembridge Beach has a variety of pebble, rock and sandy sections, overlooking the Solent. Perfect for family excursions, children will love to go crabbing, cockling and explore the natural surroundings. If you’re looking for a relaxing day, Bembridge is usually quieter than the main resorts. Also home to one of the Island’s RNLI stations, you are likely to see the lifeboat launching as it makes regular rescues and takes part in training exercises.

Ryde beach is a sweeping six miles of beautiful golden sands that extend from Seaview all the way round to Ryde Pier. Enjoy a level walk between Ryde and Puckpool which passes cafés, gardens, children’s play areas, beach huts and the quaint building of Appley Tower. There is a boating lake just outside of the town’s indoor swimming pool and past a large outdoor arcade. When sitting on Seagrove beach you could soon forget that you’re on the Isle of Wight and not an Island in the tropics. Springvale beach is a shingle/sand mix and is gently sloping towards clear seas which means it does not get too deep at either end of the tides. The beach is located between Ryde and the village of Seaview and is a bit of a hidden gem. More of a local spot (if you know, you know kind of beach) it means that it is never as crowded as beaches such as Shanklin and Compton.
